May 25, 2015: McMenamins Edgefield

For our anniversary, we spent the night at McMenamins Edgefield.  Our room was the Etta James room.

We started our day with the distillery tour and the distillery bar.

We shared a distillery flight with a Hammerhead chaser.

Next came the brewery tour.  We loved the wrought iron outside the brewery.

We then went on the winery tour and ended up in the gardens.

We saw a hummingbird in the garden, and I chased it around trying to get a good picture.  This is the best one I got :)

There was art everywhere.

We thought this was the answer to the front desk photo puzzle.  It was not.

Apparently Rob liked the bathrooms :)

We had a great time.

We went on a bike ride.  This sign made me laugh out loud.

 We saw a heron.  He wouldn't let me get too close.

 This field of pretty flowers had busy beehives.

 We saw ducklings.

Back home, a little bird was hiding in the weeds.

And the kitty caught some rays from the window sill.
