January 10, 2015: Awesomeness

Rob bought an awesome Seven of Nine t-shirt from Craigslist.
We drank some pineapple cider from this awesome Wisconsin glass.
We used our breadmaker to make some awesome pesto pizza crust.
It has fresh basil, red chili pepper flakes and roasted garlic in it.
It was an awesome day :)

January 7, 2015: Saffron

"I'm just mad about Saffron.  Saffron's mad about me."
Inspired by our friend Holly, we planted some saffron bulbs this year.  They are growing, and I am hoping they will flower this winter, so we can harvest some saffron :)

January 3, 2015: Cold Kitty

Our kitty has been sitting on the heating vent all day just waiting for the hot air to flow.  Poor cold kitty :(

Friday, January 2, 2015: Hanging Artwork

We hung some of Rob's artwork at Cornbread Cafe, which was recently featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.

June 2014: The Month so far.....

We started June out with a favorite meal, calzones and cider.
We watched the bees and noticed there seemed to be less than usual.

Our strawberries ripened and were made into waffles.

The fig tree survived the winter :)
And our delphinium bloomed.

So did the California Poppy.
Our tomatoes were planted and started to produce fruit.

We had a little rain; the plants loved it.

Check it out!!  We saw a rainbow!
A double rainbow!!
Kia spent a ton of time outside.

This guy visited our yard.

Kia wanted to chase him, but then she remembered she's old :)
We ate at Cornbread Cafe in Eugene for the first time.  Yum!
I can't wait to see what the rest of the summer brings.

May 13, 2014: Rhodie

The rhodie is in full bloom today :)
It's so beautiful.
And Kia is loving this warm weather we are having.

Monday

May 2, 2014: Albany Wine Walk

This was our first year doing the Wine Walk.  It was fun.  We got to visit some of the downtown lofts and businesses that we would never normally visit and, of course, we got to drink some wine :)

The historic Carousel was really fun.  It was neat to see how they are carving all the different animals.
We saw some beautiful wisteria on the walk home.
