September 12, 2011: A Llama Sits on a Sheep

This is probably the weirdest thing we have ever seen on the drive home from work.
Maybe the weirdest thing we've ever seen. Period.
Llamas are put in the fields with sheep to scare away eagles and other predators. This llama was sitting on a sheep. The sheep was yelling, like it was in pain. Vultures were circling overhead. I think that the llama was trying to protect the sheep from those birds.
Of course, what do I know? This might be where leep or shamas come from.

September 11, 2011

The day before Rob's Granny Annie died, she spent her day decorating her house for Christmas and baking Christmas cookies. We received a package of those delicious cookies after she had already passed. Rob saved one cookie. He lacquered it, so it can last forever. What a nice way to remember an amazing woman.

September 10, 2011: Antiques in the Street

We went to Antiques in the Street with our friend Heather.
Rob calls this picture "Two Antiques in the Street."
We saw this awesome poodle bench there.

September 9, 2011

Funny named ball that Rob bought for his classroom. We played a little catch with it today. Turns out I can throw a football (only short distances, but that's ok).

September 1, 2011: Rob the Handyman

Today Rob fixed the outdoor light. Now it is secured to the garage better and it is placed at a better angle.
Then he built a super cute birdhouse and put it in the tree.

August 31, 2011: Shelly Strikes Back

Rob often sends packages to his sister Shelly, usually filled with Cabbage Patch Kids and other stuff she doesn't want. Well, now Shelly has had her revenge!! She sent us a muddler, which we were very happy to receive :) Thank you Shelly! But she made sure to surround it with lots of random stuff, including some pornographic bear candles :P I'm sure she already knows that revenge will be coming when she least expects it.

We had funky lights.

August 20, 2011: Teddy Bear's Picnic

We went to the Teddy Bear's Picnic, a reunion for Country Fair staff. We ate lots of food and camped overnight. The pirate ship was a big hit with the kids during the day.
We had a ton of fun hanging out with friends after the picnic.
We took the ship over at night. Playing pirate was a lot of fun. Arrr! Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
